Profile Information: name, photo, title, company, bio, location, links, and other details you choose to include in your Cardtree profile.
Account Information: email address, password, phone number, and authentication data.
Imported Data: data you choose to import from LinkedIn or other platforms.
Uploads: files, images, PDFs, and other assets uploaded to your Cardtree.
AI Twin Data: text, documents, and information you upload or connect for training or configuring your AI Twin.
Communication Data: messages or inquiries you send to us.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
Usage Data: pages visited, interactions, clicks, and engagement within Cardtree.
Device and Log Data: browser type, operating system, IP address, and access times.
Cookies and Tracking: used to remember preferences, analyze traffic, and personalize experiences.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may use trusted third-party sources to procure publicly available or authorized professional information — such as company details, logos, or social-profile data.
These integrations help automate and personalize your identity creation experience.
We do not buy, sell, or share personal data from unauthorized sources.

3. AI Twin and Automated Processing
Your AI Twin uses only the content and context you provide.
Uploaded materials are processed securely to enable responses or personalization within your configured settings.
Cardtree does not use your private data to train shared or public AI models, and you can delete your AI Twin data at any time.
4. Sharing of Information
We only share your data when necessary to provide and improve our Services, or when legally required.
This includes sharing with:
Service Providers: hosting, analytics, and integrations that support platform functionality.
Visitors: when you publish a public Cardtree profile, any data you choose to make public becomes accessible to others.
Legal or Regulatory Requests: when required by law, to protect our users or our platform’s integrity.
5. Data Retention
We retain user data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
We respect users' privacy. You can delete your individual and organization account data and we clear our systems immediately.

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure cloud storage, and access controls.We're working on GDPR and SOC compliance and it's in our roadmap. No system is entirely secure; users should safeguard their credentials and avoid sharing sensitive data unnecessarily.

Cardtree may process and store data in multiple geographic regions.
If you are accessing Cardtree from outside India, your data may be transferred and processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Cardtree is designed to give you full control over your professional identity and visibility.
You can choose who sees your profile and how it appears online through the Privacy Settings available in your account dashboard.
Cardtree offers three visibility options for profiles:
Private — Your profile is visible only to you. It will not be accessible to others or indexed by search engines.
Unlisted — Your profile is visible only to people who have your direct link. It will not be indexed by search engines or publicly discoverable.
Public — Your profile is discoverable by anyone, including through search engines and external links.
You can change your profile’s visibility at any time. Adjusting your privacy settings immediately updates how your profile is displayed and who can access it.
Additionally, you may:
Control your AI Twin’s visibility and decide who can interact with it.
Edit, hide, or delete content from your Cardtree at any time.
Request a copy of your data or delete your account in line with this Privacy Policy.
Cardtree will always respect your selected privacy settings. However, public profiles and content may still appear in cached or archived versions of web pages outside of Cardtree’s control (e.g., search engine caches).
10. Public Profiles and Community Visibility
If you choose to make your Cardtree profile Public, you consent to Cardtree showcasing your profile, content, or achievements in community spaces, discovery feeds, or promotional materials designed to help users gain more visibility and traction.
Examples may include:
Featuring public profiles in Cardtree communities, newsletters, or showcases.
Displaying public Cardtrees in discovery sections or professional feeds.
Sharing public profiles or snippets (like name, role, or tagline) on Cardtree’s social channels to highlight user success stories.
Cardtree will never modify your content or share private or unlisted information without your consent.
You can opt out anytime by changing your privacy setting to Unlisted or Private.

11. Cookies and Analytics
Cardtree uses cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and personalization.
You can disable cookies through your browser, though some features may not function properly.
